DropShip Scout ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DropShip Scout Chrome extensions and the website dropshipscout.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information:
- Email address (provided during purchase)
- License key (generated upon purchase)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details)
Extension Usage Data:
- A randomly generated machine ID (used for license validation only)
- Chrome extension ID
- License activation timestamps
Data We Do NOT Collect:
- We do NOT collect your browsing history
- We do NOT track which Amazon or AliExpress pages you visit
- We do NOT collect or store any product data you scan
- We do NOT access your Google account data beyond the Sheets API scope you authorize
- We do NOT sell or share your personal information with third parties
2. How We Use Your Information
- License validation: To verify your subscription is active when you use the extension
- Email communication: To send you your license key, product updates, and respond to support requests
- Payment processing: To manage your subscription through Stripe
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe — Payment processing. See Stripe's Privacy Policy
- Supabase — Database hosting for license management. See Supabase's Privacy Policy
- Vercel — Website and API hosting. See Vercel's Privacy Policy
- Resend — Email delivery. See Resend's Privacy Policy
- Google Sheets API — Used only when you explicitly authorize it to export scanned product data to your own Google Sheet
- Anthropic Claude API — Used for AI title rewriting (Amazon Scout only). Your Anthropic API key is stored locally in your browser and is never sent to our servers
4. Google API Disclosure
DropShip Scout's use of Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We only access Google Sheets to write product data that you explicitly choose to export. We do not read, modify, or delete any other data in your Google account.
5. Data Storage and Security
- License keys and email addresses are stored securely in our database hosted on Supabase
- All API communications use HTTPS encryption
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers
- Extension settings (API keys, filter preferences) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained while your subscription is active
- Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days, then deleted
- You may request immediate deletion by contacting us
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Cancel your subscription at any time
- Revoke Google Sheets access at any time through your Google Account settings
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the extension.
